About Me

My name is Melissa, but you can call me Missy. I worked in a mixed practice veterinary clinic in the Waikato for 4 years before relocating to Taranaki with my family and beginning my new adventure of working for myself.

I gained my Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2019 through Otago Polytechnic and found my passion for rehabilitating animals after adopting my disabled cat "Stitch" whom I hand raised from about a week old. From there I dove into my Diploma in Animal Physiotherapy, through TCAP, of which I graduated in mid 2023. I have also recently begun studying for my International Diploma in Animal Osteopathy, through LCAO, and I am excited to be able to add this to my current skills to improve my techniques to benefit your animals.

I am a proud member of the New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Association (NZVNA), the International Association of Animal Therapists (IAAT), and currently a student member of Animal Osteopathy Worldwide (AOW), which allows me to have access to exclusive learning platforms so that I can continue to improve my skills and stay up to date with current practices.
